This painting of a bougainvillea plant is done from a photo taken during my trip to India. This plant grows abundantly in India and is seen everywhere because of it's bright, beautiful colors, including pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white, or yellow. It is sometimes referred to as "paper flower" because the bracts are thin and papery.
