These paintings are abstract works inspired by the work of Richard Diebenkorn. Over the course of more than 20 years, Richard Diebenkorn created 145 paintings for his Ocean Park series. They are remembered as "gentle portraits of California light.
My paintings reflect more of New England colors and New England light.
I used the colors that are native to where i live to create this abstract landscape.

Hydrangeas are beautiful as a painting in any season.

I painted this still life painting as a winter painting – mostly cool colors with a touch of warm red. The red berries give that extra punch of color and add a dynamic diagonal line to the composition.

 This painting has several soft textures. It is mostly a high key painting with beautiful color variations in the flower itself.

It is cold outside and there is snow on the ground. This painting could have been done plein air- (if it was not so cold!), however this is done from a friend's photo- thanks Kathy. It is a scene of Groton, MA a few days ago. this is probably my last post for the year so - Happy New Year everyone.
