This is the 2nd painting in the series. Same subject (Neha), dancing with a dancing Ganesh holding musical instruments. This one also began as a line drawing but by coloring it in a little more- i think i added too many details.

This painting is inspired by my recent trip to India and viewing the works of contemperory Indian artists. I found that they do a lot of line work and abstract paintings. This painting combines both - the dancer is a line drawing and the painting has an abstract background with a representational Lord Ganesh showering red flower petal blessings on the dancer (the dancer is a very good friend's daughter - Neha, done from a photo taken from her arangetrum/ dance finals, invitation card). the column represents a temple setting. This is a first of a series i am planning to do, please leave comments if you have any thoughts about the colors used or composition or any other thoughts about the painting.

I began this painting before i went to India- finally got to complete it today. This is done from a photo taken at the local botanical garden . The flash captured the bubbles very well and the whole painting depicts the grace and movement of the fish.
