Fresh flowers being a refreshing energy in spring.
This
painting explores the lines of nature and the beauty of flowers in a
vase, created in layers and interesting brush strokes. In
an attempt to merge florals and abstraction this painting went through
many variations.
I
wanted the flowers to retain their organic shape, ethereal qualities and the
painting to stay true to elements of abstraction like surface quality,
texture, lines, marks, collage and mixed media paint.
This version keeps all those qualities intact. Do you agree?
This painting is currently in the Rockport Art Assoc and Museum show exhibit will be in April 2022 titled "Jacki's Flowers" to honor our beloved Jacki Harrington, that left this earth this past December.
