Morning Walk II

 12" x12"

Mixed media on wood panel

Isn't this one magical?

The colored dots give the painting a surprising twist.

There are two of these bird compositions with interesting abstract backgrounds that took a long time and a lot of experimentation to evolve into this exciting presentation.

Detailed black and white drawing juxtaposed with a textured, loose background makes for an exciting difference.

"Back to drawing" is my inspiration for this painting- I want to draw large birds in black and white. For this project i am going to choose colorful birds that i have seen.
Could not resist sharing a famous quote, "When i see a bird that walks like a duck and swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, i call that bird a duck"
