Watercolor on paper
24" x 18"
$800
Not every painting fits into the category of being able to rework it
but, when it does it's okay, to give a painting a new life an perhaps
find a new home too. This beautiful watercolor is for sale.
Reworking a painting can be a good thing but, it can be also be the kiss
of death. When reworking a painting It's best to add color and
highlights but, try to refrain from lifting out broad areas of color and
rework it all together. In this case, i added some more shadows and highlights and painted the table/foreground in a more dynamic way, using several watercolor techniques like wet into wet, adding salt and painting in layers.

Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas
$150 for a set of 2 / $85 each
A lovely set of 2 small impressionistic paintings inspired by my backyard in the summertime.
Working mostly with a secondary color palette and starting with a base wash of orange color makes the blue/green color on top "sing."

Watercolor on paper

In this painting the contemporary dark background works to off set the white/light areas of the flower petals. The flower is in sharp focus vs the softer/blended background. The warm yellows contrast well with the cooler blues and purples. This is a painting of contrasts!
Lilacs are very popular in parks and gardens. The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University has a special day long celebration in May in honor of lilacs - Lilac Sunday is a Boston tradition.

White Roses
After Spanish artist JoaquĂn Sorolla
$150
This painting is a copy of a famous painting done by a Spanish artist JoaquĂn Sorolla done approx. in the year 1919. More of his works can be seen here- http://www.wikipaintings.org/en/joaqu-n-sorolla
I chose to copy this painting because i love the light and the colors he used to make this painting. It was a fun exercise to paint my favorite subject matter thru the eyes of another artist.
Thanks to many good friends, most of my work from this past year is SOLD. I have several auctions and art shows coming up so i am busy revising some of my unfinished work and getting it ready for submission. Below are some examples
