Hampi is a village and temple town recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. The site has many small, stray temples along with larger centers of worship -  all under the Govt. 's protection for conservation and stabilization of temple structures.
I am more interested in painting the almost abandoned stray places of worship. They have a serene beauty, situated in an exceptionally beautiful landscape and covering a vast area of approx 100 miles on the banks of the Tungabhadra river.
