Another animal painted abstractly with bold and bright colors. Lately i am exploring different ways to paint animals inspired by the Whistler House show.
"The Whistler House Museum of Art enjoys a collection of artists whose paintings present a variety of themes. James McNeill Whistler had his peacock room and an array of butterfly signatures. William Phelps included cows and sheep in his pastoral scenes. For Arthur Spear, it was fish that graced his canvases. Bring out your animal instincts in the Whistler House Museum of Art’s 2016 Members Exhibition, Kingdom Animalia. Artwork must include images, sculpture, fiber art or photos of animals or scenes including animals (i.e. dogs, cats, birds, fish, wild and domestic animals, etc.)"
