Abstract Movement
18" x 44"
Framed size: 20" x 35" Gold and Black Frame
Acrylic
$800

In this large acrylic painting, there is a strong and vibrant sense of movement. If you study it you will find diagonal, gestural, and directional lines; repetition; and placement of objects to give it an illusion of motion. The beautiful complimentary, warm and cool colors give the appearance of fast moving goldfish in a stream of gushing water. Time and movement in art are closely linked. Time, however, is an abstract concept, with cultural and historical implications. It does not have the physicality that movement does. Time-based artwork is more ephemeral.

This painting maybe termed as abstract expressionistic with it's fields of color and abstract forms painted with a vigorous, gestural action to portray emotion, flow, movement and rhythm.
